Meet the Team
Douglas B Campbell, DDS Hi, I grew up in Lake Forest, attending Cherokee, Gorton, Deer Path, and LFHS. After four years at Michigan State University and four years at University of Illinois College of Dentistry, I graduated with my D.D.S. degree (Doctor of Dental Surgery) in 1982. I began practicing in Lake Forest in 1983 and moved to our current location in June of 1991. I have been very fortunate to have an excellent staff that contributes greatly to our office and has helped make dentistry fun. I still look forward to work each day. In January of 1999 I was fortunate to have Dr. David Schmidt join us. He is an excellent dentist who utilizes the latest advances in our field and attends many continuing education seminars. I have two children, Cari and Brad. Cari attends the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater and enjoys cooking and trying new recipes. Brad attends Illinois Wesleyan University. He is an accomplished saxophone player and likes ultimate frisbee, golf, water skiing and snow skiing. When time permits, I enjoy boating, golf, running, water skiing, snow skiing, or a quiet evening with a good book. Thank you for trusting us with your dental health. Hello! I am Dr. David Schmidt. I grew up in Indianapolis, IN. and graduated from Indiana University with honors in Economics. I decided to follow in my father’s footsteps. After graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry, I joined my father’s busy north side office and opened a south side practice of my own. I met my wife during dental school and married her shortly after graduation. Mary Beth is a native of Chicago (she grew up in Elmhurst) and a fellow I.U. graduate. She is an avid runner and a former NCAA All-American track star. Today, most of her time is spent chasing our four children; identical twins born November of 1997, our youngest daughter in April of 2001, and our son born June 3, 2009. Our decision to move to the north side of Chicago in late 1998 was an easy one. Callie, Kelsey, Courtney and Cole have lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins to play with, and my wife and I have always admired the area. We really enjoy exploring the coastline of Lake Michigan. In my spare time, I enjoy boating, sailing, swimming, cycling, and rollerblading. I truly look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know you as a neighbor.
Hi, my name is Laura Pierce. I have been with Dr. Campbell since August 1994. I live in Waukegan with my fiancé John, son Jordan and daughter Haley. In our spare time we enjoy going to the park, swimming, bike riding or just spending quality time together.
Hi, my name is Pam Ladesic. I joined the team in March, 2006. The past 14 years I have worked as a Dental Front Desk coordinator in patient relations. I am excited to be working for an awesome team of Doctors, Hygienists, Assistants and Front Desk! I have 2 beautiful children, JP is 19 and Erin is 16. My husband, Kevin and I love cooking, taking long walks, reading and spending time in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Our extended family includes, Nellie, our lovable cat!!
My name is Gayle Meyer. I have been working as a dental hygienist with Drs. Campbell and Schmidt for 5 years. I currently live in Mundelein with my boyfriend, Matt and our 3 dogs, Haley, Jedi and Piper. In my free time I love to go camping, biking and cheer the Cubs on to the World Series!!
Hi, my name is Aida. I am a Dental Hygienist and have been working with Dr. Campbell and Dr. Schmidt since I came out of school in 2001. I truly enjoy working with a team that is always upbeat and keeps up with the latest in dental industry. At home I have an energetic 6 year old who keeps me busy all the time and my husband, Goran. Reading and walking are something I enjoy the most in my free time.
My name is Mary Laschinski. I joined the professional team here in June 1999 as a chairside assistant, and have enjoyed the growth in knowledge (continuing education @LVI, Invisalign, and other state of the art procedures) and productivity with this wonderful team! My husband James and I have been married over 30 years, have 4 grown daughters and 7 grandchildren. We currently reside in Trevor, WI., and enjoy cooking, gardening, photography and watching our grandkids grow!
Hi, my name is Cassie. I am a chair side assistant and began working with Dr. Campbell and Dr. Schmidt in May of 2004. I recently moved to Grayslake with my cat Blitzen and dog Maverick. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, Ryan, and being outdoors, rollerblading, camping and reading. I also love getting together with my family, my two brothers, Doug and Eric, my sister, Julie and my niece and nephew, Jon and Rachel. I look forward to getting to know you.
Hi, my name is Jill Ostrowski. I have been a Dental Hygienist with Dr. Campbell and Schmidt since 1994. I work part-time and really enjoy being a part of the team. My husband Peter and I have 2 beautiful children, Isabella is 9 and Nikolas is 7. They keep us very busy!! We also are very busy running our business Village Car Wash in Fox Lake. I look forward to seeing you!!
Hi! My name is Kim Nelson. I was born and raised in down state Illinois. My husband, Steve, and I moved to Wadsworth 23 years ago and have made this our home. We have four children: James-25, David-22, Patrick-20 and Jessica-15. I enjoy tennis, volleyball, and walking. I have been playing bunco with a group of friends for 19 years now. I also enjoy taking part in a book club, which is made up of all hockey moms. I have been with Drs. Campbell & Schmidt nearly 4 years now. Time does fly when you’re having fun!
Hi my name is Elizabeth Erkert. My husband and I live in Lake County and really enjoy this area. We both like to hike, golf, travel and go to White Sox baseball games. In addition, I like to play the piano, exercise, garden, cook and read. We have 2 cats named Snickers and Twix. I have been a dental hygienist for 10 years. I enjoy being an integral part of restoring and maintaining the dental health of my patients by utilizing the latest technology and my caring touch.
Hi my name is Kathy Herbst. I am a dental assistant who joined the team in 2009, I have two teenage children, a son who is off to college this fall and a high school daughter. In my spare time I love riding my bicycle, taking long walks and rooting for "DA BEARS" In addition to my 25 yrs of experience I have also assisted Dr. Zmick for 9 years. I look forward to helping you with your dental needs.
