Frequently Asked Dental Questions in Lake Forest
How often should I visit the dentist?
We recommend patients visit our office at least twice a year. These six month dental checkups allow our team to partner with patients to maintain their healthiest smiles, and prevent most major oral health issues.
What is periodontal disease?
Periodontal disease is often referred to simply as gum disease, and it occurs when plaque and tartar buildup irritates gum tissue leading to sores, infection, and soft tissue recession. We offer a variety of periodontal therapies to help patients renew oral health.
Can I visit your office during dental emergencies?
Absolutely. We’re happy to help our patients whenever they need us most, and that includes dental emergencies. Simply contact our team, and we’ll do our utmost to provide treatment right away, and one of our knowledgeable team members will walk you through first aid and pain management over the phone.
Does teeth whitening work?
Unlike store bought whiteners, professional teeth whitening is able to offer patients effective, predictable results up to ten shades brighter in most cases.
Can I bring my children to your office?
We welcome patients of all ages, and our dentist and team have extensive experience offering children’s dentistry services to keep young patients smiling.
What is neuromuscular dentistry?
Neuromuscular dentistry is a treatment philosophy that takes the interworking of the mouth, bones, muscles, and all orofacial structures when planning for ongoing care. By working to ensure patients’ oral and facial structures are in proper alignment, we are able to keep their smiles whole, healthy, and free from pain.
What are your insurance and financing policies?
We are not in-network with any dental insurance providers, but we do process and file claims to help patients maximize their coverage. We are happy to accept payment in cash, checks, and major credit cards at the time of service, and whenever necessary, we’ll work with patients to find affordable financing options.
